  • New hotel offers 300 rooms and two new restaurants to casino
  • 14,000 square-foot convention center attracts smaller, intimate events
  • Top floor offers VIP accommodations including presidential suite

After decades of planning and months of recent speculation, Parx Casino finally announced their plans to construct a 300-room, 13-story hotel addition to their Bensalem location. Once the project is complete, the hotel will carry a 14,000-square feet convention center, two restaurants, including a rooftop venue that will seat up to 300 guests of the casino.

Overall, the hotel will stand close to 160 feet tall with 11 guest levels among the 13 total stories. A state-of-the-art fitness center, coffee shop, and full-service spa will also be available to customers when the doors open on the new hotel in 2025.

For VIP members, the hotel’s top floor will house a presidential suite and four additional high-profile suites for top customers of the Bensalem gaming establishment.

Although the state’s online gambling and PA online sports betting market remains incredibly strong, the ability for physical casinos to host events and cater to customers who enjoy an overnight stay and play is one of the biggest reasons for the expansion of the Bensalem location.

Parx Casino Bensalem Adds Convention Center to Final Plans

The final plans for the new addition to the Bensalem location included plans for a moderately-sized convention center for events.

The convention center won’t be able to host large national conventions, especially with Philadelphia close to Bensalem, but for large weddings and family events, the venue offers a non-age-restricted event area.

During a presentation this week, Parx Casino COO John Dixon told the assembled media the convention center would offer flexibility and could be divided to host smaller events.

"We don't have space for (large national events). This is more for local and regional meetings," Dixon told the media. "We're not in that league (for bigger national-level conventions), but it will be a good spot for people to have meetings and gatherings."

Although the casino has planned the hotel for many years, the final approval of the hotel’s plans comes as welcome news to customers of the Parx Casino Bensalem and more proof of the strength of the Pennsylvania gaming market.
