  • Pennsylvania online casinos posted $162.3 million in February revenue
  • Online slots made $123.5 million of total online casino revenue
  • FanDuel Sportsbook at Valley Forge posted $235.1 million handle for February

Pennsylvania’s online casinos continued their impressive revenue run posting a record setting total for February as operators generated $162.3 million in total winnings. The total figure comes in second all-time for online casino monthly revenue in the Keystone State, just behind the $166.9 million operators made in December 2022.

Online slots dominated the market, posting a revenue total of $123.5 million. Online table games such as blackjack, roulette, and baccarat generated $36.1 million for online casinos, while online poker added $2.7 million to the operators’ total revenue.

Hollywood Penn National’s online casino app generated the most money in Pennsylvania in February totalling $69.7 million in revenue, with $52.6 million coming from PA online slots. Rivers Casino Philadelphia came in second with $33.2 million in revenue. A whopping $29.6 million of their February total came from online slots.

Valley Forge Casino Resort posted $31.9 million in online casino revenue with $20.5 million coming from slots and $11.4 million arriving via table games.

Pennsylvania Sportsbooks Reach Close to $600 Million in February

Even with the Philadelphia Eagles playing in Super Bowl 57, Pennsylvania sportsbooks did not increase their handle from the same month last year. PA online sports betting outlets posted a handle of $599.5 million for the month of February.

Despite the stagnant handle, the sportsbooks increased their profit over last year’s second month by 6.8%, in large part because of the Eagles’ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL title game. The state’s sportsbooks pocketed over $62 million in winnings, clearly $42.2 million in post-tax revenue.

Pennsylvania online sports betting continues its dominance in February with close to 93% of all wagers in the state placed through apps and websites.

Pennsylvania’s growing sports betting market also officially crossed $20 billion in total handle during the month of February, becoming the fourth state to cross the threshold. Nevada, New Jersey, and Illinois have all crossed the $20 billion marker in total sports handle.

The FanDuel sportsbook at Valley Forge Casino Resort once again led the state in total handle for the month with $235.1 million in total bets. The sportsbook took home $32.2 million in revenue from that state-leading total.

Next, the DraftKings sportsbook at the Hollywood Meadows Casino came in second with $157.3 million in total handle. The bookmaker generated $14.1 million in revenue from losing wagers.

The BetMGM sportsbook at the Hollywood Casino Morgantown placed third for the month, generating $43.3 million in total betting handle. The sportsbook posted a 9.2% hold of that handle accounting for $3.9 million in total revenue during the year’s shortest month.
